It was fun to read!Catevanne22 wrote: ↑15 Jun 2018, 22:36 I like the idea of a fairytale to read and take me away from the mundaneness of everyday life. It’s wonderful to imagine a world different from our own, and your description of the story makes it sound like a very inviting read.

You're welcome. I thought the cover was beautiful too.Sahani Nimandra wrote: ↑15 Jun 2018, 23:17 Honestly, the cover illustration gave me a blissful feeling, and I really like the cover page. Not in my wildest dreams did I think the story was otherwise that lingered danger and mystic enchantments hidden within. It reminded me of what Dumbledore said in the 3rd year: "happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if only one remembers to turn one the lights." Thank you for your review!

I am as well! I love the uniqueness and the sense of excitement. Regular fairytales are too predictable.DathanReeves wrote: ↑16 Jun 2018, 14:49 I'm a sucker for dark and twisted fairytales, as many of the classics are not as cheery as we would like.

I am glad the author didn't make it all rainbows and unicornsKendra M Parker wrote: ↑16 Jun 2018, 17:20 I love the way you describe this as a book for those of us who love magic but have been weighed down by the complications of growing up. I have felt that way many times before, and it is interesting to see a book that embraces that feeling.

I don't know, have you ever read the original cinderella? There's a magic cow that won't die that grants wishes. Modern ones are predictable, yes, but the originals will morph your face into a derp meme wondering what just happened.JuliaKay wrote: ↑16 Jun 2018, 15:03I am as well! Me, too. Rainbows and unicorns are great, but sadly life is not full of those. I wish there were more of them, but we have to face the hardships of life sometimes. This seems like an interesting way to embrace that feeling.JuliaKay wrote: ↑16 Jun 2018, 17:55I am glad the author didn't make it all rainbows and unicornsKendra M Parker wrote: ↑16 Jun 2018, 17:20 I love the way you describe this as a book for those of us who love magic but have been weighed down by the complications of growing up.
