Sounds like a beautiful story that will teach you a thing or two about American history without being boring. It's a shame about the errors though. Enjoyed your review immensely.

Thanks JR. I enjoy historical books that highlight events that we didn't learn about in school. Yes, it is a fun way to learn more about the history of our country.

It is a story about evolution and strenght. A girl that becomes a woman during her journey in life.

The book cover is very attractive. I keep on looking at it. The story line is fascinating. I already like Maddie and i hope to join her journey to California and towards adulthood as well. :) I enjoy reading your review.

Thanks so much! I found the story a very interesting way to learn history with the added elements of a love story and suspense. Hope you enjoy it, too!

and I really appreciate how
descriptive and believable this one
apparently is. The character
development sounds satisfying,
too. I want to read this one.
