Book Title: Voyage of Pearl of the Seas

The story takes place by the sea shore with a playful little dog, and a girl and boy. I'm not sure how they arrived.

It's just a sample reading.

I’m a huge fan of C.S. Lewis and this type of book, but I too struggle with this style of writing so I may have to give this particular read a miss.

I respect your misgivings but I honestly think that this book is worth revisiting. Any book about adventures on the sea can go a long way to keep you glued as did the True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle by Avi. I might grab this book just to be sure

I did want to read this, and I think that the poetic writing might be something I could get used to. It sounds like a the type of read you have to have the time to savor.

This doesn't seem like the type of book that I would normally read, but I really enjoyed reading your review.

The author was smart in using a pen name(I assume it is just that) that sounds familiar to travel and adventures. I am not into fantasy-adventure genre but based on the review, readers who like magical places and extraordinary creatures will dig this book.

Wow,, the review is detailed and give a plenty good insight in what the book is all about. I for one would never waste time reading something with 2 star ratings and below. So for that note, thanks for the review.

Thank you for your review. It appears the author missed the mark considerably if she was aiming for something C. S. Lewis-esque.
