When I started reading this book, I thought it was just for children, but it is therapeutic. Mastering Life's Canvas: Believe in Yourself! | American Edition by Island Life Books is a collection of illustrations to guide readers into self-belief and personal improvement.

For starters, it is not written as a regular self-help book; rather, it is a coloring book accompanied by lessons that will guide you toward mindfulness. At first, I wondered why a coloring book? However, as I read, I started to understand that coloring helps reduce stress and ignites the imagination.

The first illustration is that of a lion, but the book doesn't just include pictures of animals; it also contains humans and random art, all aimed at fostering positive thought patterns. This book made me understand that I am worthy of love and respect. The illustrations showed me that it is possible to ignite change, and they also teach about confidence, resilience, and how far it can take you as a person.

One of the significant things about this book is how visually appealing it is. The visuals are perfectly illustrated and very easy to work with, basically because it is a coloring book. This book also reaches a broad audience, ranging from teens to adults. In a world with so much adult information on the internet, this book is a gentle reminder that a teenager can still cultivate good habits and do something productive without being on the internet. Another thing to love about this book is that it prompts actions, like the part that prompts you to take control of your narrative, make changes, and cultivate a life that reflects your values and aspirations. The book's editing was flawless, as I did not spot a single error while reading.

While this book was great, there were several other things I didn't like about it. For example, topics like "You are capable of greatness" were overemphasized. I felt like I was reading the same thing over and over again. The book also lacked depth. It would have been easier to relate to if it had a bit of storytelling to help build on the topics. These would have also helped the book focus on the message behind each topic.

Finally, I rate the book 4 out of 5 stars. I'm deducting a star due to the downsides I mentioned in the previous paragraph. I recommend this book to kids, teenagers, and even adults. This book will build positive thoughts and mindsets.
