From the review, David R. VerValin's 450 East sounds very interesting. I find the story of John, the orphaned teenager, quite impressive. The review is almost flawless, to put it mildly. Good job, Miriam Molina!

Sounds pretty interesting despite the formatting errors. It's something I'll have to look into. Thanks for the review.

I had chosen this book for review but it didn't download properly, so I had to pass. Your review makes it sound even more exciting. I look forward to reading it. Thanks for the review. :)

As I mentioned above, I found the errors only because I was looking hard for them. It's easy to miss them with the engrossing story.

Thanks for reading and commenting!

Thanks for the support, KlareAllison! Teeners will relate well with this story. We who are young at heart will too! Sentimental me shed a tear or two, to put it mildly lol!

There are many interesting scenes in there, Kandscreely. BTW, I failed to mention that John's loving Indiana family included a playful labrador.

Maybe the author would want another review. I'd love to hear your views about the book.

P.S. I've had the same issue twice now. Frustrating, especially if the summary and all already got you excited about the book.

This is a very informative and comprehensive review. I admire the continuity of your script and the good verbiage employed. Right on. Bravo!

You mentioned about "Calculus" which reminded me of the subject I studied so hard in fear of failure. 🤔

Living in a rural place is not bad after all. You just need a few adjustments and having "someone" (you know what I mean) 😄 could change your mind in just a sneak of glances.

How did you feel when you encountered grammatical errors in the books you have reviewed?

Hi, Dolor! Glad to see you here.

Unfortunately, grammatical errors are more prevalent in books now that everyone has the ability to self-publish. (In my youth, one only had to grab any book or other published material to learn about grammar rules.) Is that the price of technology? New words are sprouting every day, too. One misspelled word today may be the "in" word of the future.

Enough of grammar rules now. You need to sleep, lady!

It's too early to sleep though.

I still have lots of work to do and aside from that, I need to write then send my book review. I'll sleep after offering the dawn prayer which is approximately 5:30 am.

Pray, then sleep. The review can wait; the deadline must be a month away. When you wake, reread your review. You will be amazed how a refreshed mind can make it a lot better.

Thank you for the concern and the kind advice. I had sent my review and I'm waiting for the result. I'm gonna give myself enough rest and it's time for me to add stuff on my own website. Don't worry... I'll participate in the forum discussions so you and our other friends will not miss me. 😄

Have a very nice day! ♡

I love YA and I love coming of age books with a male protagonist. This is most certainly a book that I would want to read.

Great Review! 👑
