I do enjoy quite a bit of NA fiction myself, but the one fault I do find with it is that they mainly focus on romance. I'm a big fan of the romance genre, but all in all the YA umbrella offers a lot more variety. This lack of diversity may be because NA fiction is still a relatively new genre. I remember reading books which fell under the NA definition even before the genre had a name.

I love reading Young Adult books from our local library and also in our own collection at home.
I haven't actually heard of the term New Adult before. I enjoy reading Young Adult books since they are quick and easy to read. Some adult books are a bit harder to concentrate on when I'm consistently interrupted.

I just recently heard about this "new adult" fiction and I would definitely be willing to give it a try. I am a huge fan of young adult fiction. It's one of my favorite genres. But I would love to read some from this new genre. Any recommendations?

I have not come across the term "new adult fiction" before, nor do I usually read "young adult fiction" unless I come across a particularly compelling work. Some stories defy their genres and can be appreciated by a wide cross-section of readers.

I've been going back and forth between both lately but sticking more to NA. I've also been reading some adult or erotica books as well. They all have good ones and bad ones.

I read an author who writes a lot of YA and recently redid some of her stories to meet the NA genre. The storylines were the same, but there was more sexual content in the NA book. I think it depends on how the NA is done. I don't want to lose quality portions of the book just to have them replaced with more scenes of hooking up.

I've never heard of "New Adult" books, but I think that is a good idea. I often read YA when I want something simple, with strong characters, and lots of action.

This is also the first time I have ever heard of new adult as well. I am sure many of the stories I have read have younger adults in them but I don't purposely seek that age group out.

I do read young adult occasionally. Usually if I have read a very heavy depressing story (child abuse/murder or loss of a child) and need a light-hearted book I will choose "young adult'. It gives me a break and let's me know there are still a lot of children out there with a happy, carefree life.

This is my first time hearing of the new adult genre, but I would be interested in checking it out. I mainly read YA. However, I have read a few adult books here and there but find them hard to relate to because the characters are usually much older than I am. I find YA enjoyable because it is easier to read and usually more interesting and exciting.

I keep finding myself reading YA more and more because they are easy reads. Easy escape from the heavier stuff. I need a book to "grab" me in the beginning to want to read it and because often the correct demographic for those books needs that as well those authors are good at it.

I'm more of a YA reader but sometimes I venture into NA too. It really depends on how good the book/writing is.

I read both Young Adult and New Adult. Which one I read depends on what mood I am in.
There are some times when I am tired of the teenage drama and basic romance stories, and just want some proper romance that get a bit steamy. Other times I just want a basic book, as a fast-read, in which case I look more towards the Young Adult books.

This is my favorite genre! Even though it is aimed at a younger audience, it there is so much to gain through reading these books. They aren't only fun, many of them tackle real issues the young adults face daily.
