Hello,

This is a great review! Your synopsis of the book drew me in more than anything. It is always nice to know a little about a book before you take the time to read it. Also, your comment about the action, really drew me in. I have read so many boring books lately, that I had lost hope. However, this may be the book to get me back in the saddle.

Thank you for your time!

A family that alienates their own family member for being obese is a horror. Shocking introduction to grasp the reader's attention. Too bad the main character's every day life panorama stays short. Thanks for the review!

I agree with you that the writing style in YA novels can be uneven but it sounds like you enjoyed it a lot anyway. Thanks for the review.
Interested in books that help one's spirit move beyond the ordinary.

Wow, this sounds interesting! I'm intrigued about what became of Brian when he comes out of that abandoned house. I'm glad the characters are well-thought out and the author has given a lot of thoughts into the monsters. Thanks for the well-written review.

I have this unholy fear of animal bites, so I avoid even pets. See how a bite changed Brian's life! I am eager to know how Brian's future will unfold now that he has met new, albeit unusual, friends.

Thanks for the enlightening review, Katiesquilts!

This sounds like a fun and unique twist on spooky werewolves and YA stories. I like the uniqueness of the monsters the author attempted. I agree he should work on being more descriptive though.

Great review. Interesting cover and concept to paranormal. I think I will be finishing up the rest of this story after the sample.

The sample on Amazon drew me in and didn't let me go until the very end! I can't stand horror novels though so sadly I think I'll have to pass...I'm assuming there is no sexual content since you didn't mention it in the review?

I enjoy when an author takes a tried and and true and then flips it on its ear! Makes ya look at the family pet a little differently, eh? LOL

I'm just starting the book and I already feel a bit put out by all the bullying. Is it overdone? Is it realistic? As a device to draw sympathy for the main character, isn't it a bit heavy-handed? I don't know.
