Lovely review! I love stories that get your emotions flowing. I don't think this one is really my cup of tea though. Congrats on a positive review and being BOTD today!

I absolutely love your review. It is evident that this book touched you. The addition of direct quotes from the book was powerful. Describing Penny's lying habit as endearing really enhanced the description of her quirky character.

Great, thoughtful review! The subject matter doesn't seem like my cup of tea, but I do like books with interesting characters. I like your description of not knowing whether to laugh or cry while reading. It's sounds like the author has done a great job in making the reader feel mixed emotions.

I enjoyed reading your review, which has convinced me to give this book a try. Usually, I steer clear of YA due to the maturity, but this one seems like it could go well for an adult also. Thank you for sharing! And congrats to the author for the 4 star review! :)

Great review! This sounds like it would be a very enjoyable read. I liked the quote that you included from the book. It really helped show off Penny's character.

This book about a child stuck in foster care is something I'm interested in as I was in foster care. I also love the cover. Congratulations on being BOTD.

Excellent review. I am looking forward to finishing this story. We had a foster child who lived with us during his high school years. I really liked how the author showed the events in this story.
