I think the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series is amazing! The writing is superb, the plot surprised me at every twists, and there are 3 OTPs! 3! Plus, Karou (the protagonist) has naturally blue hair, which automatically makes her about 200% cooler than every other YA protagonist.

My favorite YA books are: Symptoms of Being Human by Jeff Garvin, Everyday by David Levithan, Looking for Alaska by John Green, and The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. The list could go on and on, but these are books that I often return to! :D

Looking for Alaska and Paper Towns, both by John Green are MUST READS for the young adult. They have such great find-yourself themes, which of course is what young adults are trying to do. I am in my early twenties. I read Looking for Alaska when I was probably 16, and it still resonates with me 8 years later.

The maze runner series by James Dashner is probably my favorite. There is excellent character development, a great plot, and it keeps you on the edge of your seat! The final book in the installment, The Fever Code, was release in 2016. The movies do not do justice to the books at all!

You may have heard me say this before, but I just absolutely adore the Gallagher Girls series by Ally Carter. It has something for everyone.

Includes mystery, learning, history, clever quotes, romance, humor, secrecy, murder and more.

Does not have poor or vulgar language, or graphic descriptions to turn your tummy.

This series can be read in a public setting, like a book club, without any embarassment.

The Gallagher girls series and the Heist Society series by Ally Carter are extremely important to me. Both book series never disappoint and make my day every time I read them. :)

The Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling are by far, the best YA books. They are perfect for any age. No matter how many times I read them, they are just as magical as when I first discovered them!

My favorite YA book? That's difficult. It really depends on what you're interested in, but my pick would have to be.... The Tigers Curse by Colleen Houck. What's it about? A young girl is looking for a summer job and finds a circus to work with. Kelsey, just on the verge of finishing high school, is immensely intrigued by the white tiger's performance. After a week or two of reading books to this tiger and working at the circus, she is offered a job in India, with the tiger. The tiger later leads Kelsey into the woods, after being stranded the tiger reveals himself as an Indian prince cursed into a tigers body, and in this four book series they meet people and search for a cure. One of my all time favorites, hope you give it a shot!?

I read so many awesome YA books when I WAS a YA... but of what I've read in recent years, John Green's The Fault in our Stars is definitely an amazing book.

My current favorite is the Throne of Glass Series and The Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J Maas. I absolutely love the world she had created. I get so swept away that when I'm done with her books, its so hard to step away.
