Between reading your review and the sample, I'm thinking this book will soon be gracing my Kindle app! Your review gives me a bit more information to determine whether this book will suit me. I like mysteries and even a bit of fantasy, so it look a like a winner.

I too have a guilty pleasure of reading YA books. Sometimes I actually don't realize they're YA until I'm finished. Of course, the huge number of books I read means that sometimes I have to choose YA books just to ensure I have reading material.

The story reminds me of the movie Brave. Erik is the victim of some dark witchcraft and he must find a way to cure himself. The story seems fascinating and enjoyable to me. I'm gonna read it. Congrats on BOTD.

Woah, seems like an interesting read as i noticed in your review that you gave it a 4 out of 4 stars despite the grammatical errors in the book. Nice review.
