I loved the prose you described in your review. I read the first ten pages and I quite enjoyed the descriptions. I also agree that Moojie is a relatable character.

Your review has describe "The Improbable Wonders of Moojie Littleman" as interesting to read. A good family life is everyone's dream; with Moojie being a handicap orphan being thrown around from place to place would like that burden of heart break lifted. Having acquired certain magical powers may some day bring him happiness. Or even the "Hostiles" with their supernatural ability, will lead him to a good life. I will have to read the book to know more about the story. Great review!

I love books that set in 19th century, "The Improbable Wonders of Moojie Littleman" sounds so intriguing. Also, the cover is so well made and eye-catching.

This sounds like a great book! Thank you for pointing out where it slows down in a sluggish way. I know it's always hard to find the right balance for an entire story. Can't wait to read it! Thanks.

I am not a fan of magic realism but the way this review was written, certainly has my interest aroused. Splendid review! It definitely will make others interested in reading The Improbable Wonders of Moojie Littleman and make fans, of fantasy and magic realism, determine to read the book. Excellent! A job well done!

Thank you for your review! I like how, despite your perfect 4-star review, you also mentioned that you didn't like some parts of the book, namely Part II. I find that especially rare for a lot of reviewers who give out 4-star ratings to books. I honestly can't wait until I finish up some of the books that I'm currently reading to give this one a read because the first couple chapters were beautifully written. I agree with your point about the author's prose, it really is stunning! The book sounds like it has a very unique premise, and I'm interested in seeing where it goes from here!

Thanks for the balanced review. This is the story of an abandoned boy who is crippled, slow in actions, and looking different from others. Though he is dissimilar to others in certain aspects, his longing for love, family life are just like others. This boy is blessed with some magical powers and looks like, he has connections to the alien world. This is the main attraction of this novel. I liked the theme because it is unique and might be of great interest for those who like fictions with magical realism.

What a thorough review you wrote! I think this book with magical realism and characters such as Moojie should be entertaining, as well as, thought-provoking in which you mentioned as being one of the story's greatest strengths. The search for family or for identity should be an interesting issue displayed in the story.

It is uplifting how an abandoned baby rose to a stature of being a healer, having overcome so many setbacks in his life. I like the supernatural elements in this story. Thank you for your informative review.
