I understand. It's a good book, but many like to wait for the whole series to come out first. Thanks.Juniela1419 wrote: ↑27 Feb 2021, 21:05 I love strong female lead, especially in dystopian books. Your review made me want to read the book this instant but if it's a series, it's really frustrating if you couldn't get a fill on that cliffhanger for too long. Thank you for the fascinating review, though, but I guess I will have to wait for the next book.

I like a series better when the author trusts his or her writing to bring you back instead of a cliffhanger. Nevertheless, this is worth reading. Thanks.Jenniferg_1105 wrote: ↑28 Feb 2021, 13:54 Dystopian story with a strong female lead sounds like my kind of book! I don’t like when the author leaves a cliffhanger ending but this one sounds good enough to try out anyway.

I hear you! Our world definitely is starting to feel dystopian. Books like these help us to see how much worse it could get, I guess. In any case, I enjoyed it. Thanks.LeighBee wrote: ↑28 Feb 2021, 18:52 Dystopian novels are always fun for me to read. I look at the world we live in and think it is starting to feel like one, so reading a fictional story where characters are much worse off can help re-center my sometimes jaded views of reality. I always feel like a good book ends too quickly, so I love that this is the first in a series. Thank you for your review!

I understand. I like reading the whole series at once. This is interesting and worth the read, for sure! Thanks.Vkaur wrote: ↑01 Mar 2021, 05:29 This certainly wandered my mind to other dystopian novels I have read, but as you mentioned, such recurring features are to be expected, especially one of rebellion. Sounds very intriguing indeed, though would prefer to read the second part of the book consecutively once it's released. Thank you for your clear and informative review!

Dystopian novels aren't for everyone. It's quite a specific genre. This one was one of the better ones I've read. Thanks.
