Thanks for the fantastic review. I used to fantasize about living an outside life with only the bare necessities, and as great as that sounds, it’s kind of scary! Can’t wait to read this book!

On the one hand, thanks for a truly wonderful review! On the other, yours indicates to me that this is not a book for me. I’m not a fan of books with lots of errors, and the camping narrative sounds like it gets into too much detail to hold my attention. Thanks though!

It's funny the book takes you out for camping when you're not camping yourself. (Does that make sense?) I'm really interested in how the trip changes the relationship between the father and brothers. Thanks for the recommendation!

It seems like the author was able to capture even the littlest details possible. While it may get tedious, it somehow sounds good to me. I also like that the book depicts the main character's development and growth through his camping experiences. Thank you for the amazing review.

I love camping and the outdoors, but I'm not sure if I want to read about a teenage boy discovering himself in the wild. Thanks for the good review!

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting young adult story following a boy who is forced to join his father, brother and his brother's friends as they go on a camping trip. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

I believe that bonding with nature is always a good respite for everyone, especially for today's children who are usually entranced with the gadgets of this age. I'm sure the four boys will find the camping and fishing refreshing and unforgettable. I can already smell the roasting wienies!

This book will be fun to read. I've never tried camping, but I find the story appealing. Reading the book will sound different like a figurative adventure. Thank you for your informative review.

I can't say that I'm a huge fan of camping, but this seems like a decent book still. Thanks for the review!

I understand your point about how every moment is detailed. I am glad that you liked the book overall though. Congrats to the author on the 3/4 rating.

This seemed to be not only about camping but a family story, a novel about different relationships between and amongst the family members. Needless to say, about many learnings about life. Congrats!

I enjoyed reading your review. I liked your funny comment about the best way to go camping was to read this book. I liked Williams' descriptive language and humor in the sample. Lib's imagination blending into the story and his gaining self-confidence on a camping trip with his dad, brother, and the twins sound like it would be interesting.

In "Welcome to Shadow Creek", Don Williams weaves a tale about Lib's coming of age and camping experiences.
