Fantasy is one of my favorite genres and I can't wait to see what adventure this young adult novel holds. The amount of grammatical errors makes me hesitant about reading this story because I am afraid it will distract me while reading. I am curious about the book so I am going to give it a chance and hopefully it will be a good story.

I love middle grade and YA fantasy as well, and this one sounds right up my alley. I'm not so sure about being able to get past all the proofreading errors, but I won't let that keep me from the book entirely, especially when there is a strong--but still prone to fear as all humans are--female character. Thank you for the thorough review.

I love the illustration of the cover! This seems like a fun and easy read. I enjoy reading books that aren't so serious all the time.

I sampled the book on Amazon. This is an interesting young adult fantasy book with a bit of horror. Erik is a preteen whose house is built at the edge of Brettenwood Forest which is a mysterious woodland. Erik explores the forest and you get to be a part of the journey. As mentioned in the official review this book obviously caters to young adult but could also be an intriguing read for an older audience interested in such theme as is the reviewer CataclysmicKnight. Cheers :) :)

A fun and adventurous read for young adults. Reminds me a little of the Harry Potter books, with the elements of magic and fantastical beasts.

I am happy this looks like YA fantasy at its best. The author seems to have found the right balance between mystery and adventure. I'm definitely curious to see what secrets the Brettenwood Forest hides and what happens to Erik and Kristina. Thanks for a detailed and interesting review!

Good review, thank you. I like some fantasy, this really does sou d like it can be interesting to read. Especially trying to see 8f he will turn into a creature or not. Although this sounds like it may be a fun read, I have not decided if I will read it or not.

Mysteries of brettenwood by David blank is a such captivating book that tells of a fantastic story of Kristina and Erik, though was fictional.
It tells of Erik living in mountain side where something mysteriously happens but one day the young boy tries to figure out what's in the woods.
This book is very captivating and I recommend it to all that loves reading, without hesitation I will rate this book 4 out of 4 stars.

When I was a child, i read some mystery books. I like them. Now I happen to read a book named Mysteries of Brettenwood written by David Blank. It is awesome. The writer can convince me to read to the end. In the introduction part, the history of a mysterious island is stated in very proper way. It is so interesting. In the next part, I was puzzled with the unknown creature behind a massive tree. The writer can put persuasive sentences in the right places.

Yeah, I'm part of the YA-fantasy-genre-lovers camp! I like that one is able to detect the slight shift of focus between Erik and Katrina, shows the naturalness of it all. I also love that the descriptive skills are on point. Will definitely be checking this out, thanks for the review.
