It's clear the reviewer enjoyed this book immensely, which is a good sign towards the quality of the book itself. It's unfortunate, however, that the reviewer, who admits a favorable bias towards the genre, couldn't approach the topic without a balanced view. However, having already read a good bit of the book myself, I can certainly agree with the reviewer about the author's ability to craft an engrossing atmosphere. I just wish the main character was slightly more intelligent.

I've never read any book in the YA genre, I suddenly feel like I've been missing out. This book sounds absolutely amazing!

Young adult fiction can either entice or alienate the adult reader. In this case, it would appear that it presents the later. As a work of mystery, creating characters that are equal parts brave and scared is realistic as that is the emotions that a typical reader would emote during their own reading of a thriller. For instance, when encountering a “creepy” scene the heart racing chills run rampant, yet the reader keeps proceeding down the rabbit hole in order to find out what happens next in the characters’ saga. This is the represents the work of a good mystery. As it is has touched on historical landmarks, this book would be intriguing to read as a young adult mystery.

This book appears to be giving a lot of fun while reading it because the story is quite cool and which is about a preteen boy Erik who lives beside a dark forest, where an evil witch lives. The witch curses Eric by playing a trick on him by making him steal a glass artifact and Eric tries to get out of that curse in this story. I should be definitely reading this fiction story book anytime soon.

This looks like a fantastic book to help children start reading and loving books. Interesting plot, adventurous, for both genders and with humor. I would give it to my students definitely.

David Blank's Mysteries of Brettenwood is a #YA #Fantasy novel in time for #Halloween. It follows the adventures of Erik and Kristina in discovering the #Mystery of Brettenwood Forest. One of the major lessons in this book is the consequence of stealing.

This is similar to the stories of Grimm's Fairy Tale. I'll read this book. I'm curious how Erik could save himself from being a creature of darkness.

This looks like a fun novel and I am also a super-fan of YA novels as they usually have the most improbable twists and turns, and also because one can afford not to take them too seriously. I will definitely be reading this quite soon. Congrats to the author on #BOTD

A mysterious forest, a cursed object, and kids who stumbled into said forest and cursed object? This sounds exactly like my cup of tea.
