In my experience, I've had better success simply offering a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. Then, don't press. If you get a review out of the deal, awesome, if not, oh well.... You can't win them all.

Hurricane John wrote:Promoting your eBook is definitely the hardest part of the self-publishing process. I've had several people read my eBook and personally tell me how much they enjoyed it, but only a small fraction of them will take the time to leave a review, even when asked to do so.
Thanks for sharing your insightful tips.
I have found this to be the case also. Its hard to get even close friends to take a minute to review!

I have my eBook and I would like someone to review it on this forum under "Reviews and Discussions"
Do I have to attach full version of my eBook and is it necessary to choose paid plan to get review like from above?
Thank you and regards!

I know this feeling as well! Even members of my own family will not leave a review. It's like it's true troublesome for them or something.THWilliams82 wrote:Hurricane John wrote:Promoting your eBook is definitely the hardest part of the self-publishing process.
