I have just recently finished a novella that focuses on the theory that feminism has played a role in the destruction of the traditional family unit. I want to dedicate it to my 4-year-old daughter with the message that it is okay to be proud to be a traditional woman who embraces the amazing God-given gifts of nurturing and child-rearing. Today's feminism pushes conquering a man's world on young girls and I think there is something to be said for finding a healthy balance and being proud of all the things that make women special in their traditional roles as well.

My sister, plain and simple. Because I love her so much and because she was my first beta reader.

I have been thinking about writing and illustrating a children's book about our pet turtles. I think I would have to dedicate it to the turtles who are no longer with us.

Probably my mum, sister and nan as they've always been there for me and helped me to achieve everything. And to my boyfriend, as he is my rock and keeps me grounded through everything life throws my way.

I would like to dedicate it to my family and friends, and to those people who supported me all the way. They deserve that kind of recognition from me.

I am going to write something on the dedication page. Oh, yes. It'll be, "This book is not dedicated to my family, without whom this book would have been written twelve years earlier." I might even list their names.
“Truth wasn't something you went out and found. It was wide and vast and deep and unending, and all you could hope to see was a tiny part of it. And to see that part and to mistake it for the whole was to make of Truth a lie.”

The novel I'm working on is going to be dedicated to my daughter, because the main character is based on her, and my husband, because of all the hours he's spent helping me get ideas, proof read and keeping our daughter occupied so I can write.
