The thing is, sex has to make sense in the story. If it's just sex thrown in for the heck of it, I'd say it's more porn. If it fuels the story and serves a purpose to the plot then it's erotic romance. That's what I think. I get turned off when the characters just keep having sex without it having any meaning to the plot but if there's sexual tension from the very beginning and it grows even more heated throughout the conflicts then finally culminates in an erotic sex scene then whatever the heat level is is fine with me.
