I tend to write young adult fantasy mostly because it's the majority of what I read. I do try to branch out because I don't want to box myself it but I definitely have a bias towards fantasy.

My problem is when you list a book with say, Amazon, they limit the options. I write action adventure techno-science fiction. So what would be the category?

Fantasy is always fun to write about, but I've discovered that I also really enjoy writing Literary Fiction pieces too.

"I write action adventure techno-science fiction. So what would be the category?"

Obviously science-fiction. Neither action nor adventure are excluded from typical science fiction; adventure is in fact a common driver in many sub-genres of science fiction. Techno is simply another word for science.

Why do you think your techno science fiction stories where action occurs during the adventure that makes up the scenario are not science fiction?

I wrote first Sci-fi... but then I had an idea for a fantasy novel. I thought the fantasy would be easiest to write, but it's taking quite a while, and my plot keeps trying to go off on WEIRD sci-fi tangents. Now, I have a short romance novel running around in my head, and I don't know if I ought to drop everything and write it out, or try and ignore it while I finish the sequel to my sci-fi and the fantasy novel...lol
