From the title alone I am turned off from the book. Again my inner chicken comes out. But after reading the sample and the review, this book is most definitely not what I would have expected. Adding it to my list now!

Although this book sounds interesting (At first I thought it sounded like Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book, but as I read on it seems much less lighthearted.) I'm not typically turned off by scary (I do not get creeped out easily) but I have a difficult time with anything that has to do with child abuse, especially of a sexual nature. I get enough of that in the real world, don't especially want to read about it in my fiction.

It’s interesting that this story combines the theme of child abuse with paranormal elements. It takes a skillful writer to do this effectively and it sounds like this author was successful.

Based on the portion I read, I'm not sure that this is a book I would be comfortable reading. Although you've given it a 4 out of 4, this just isn't on my list of favorite genres. I'm glad you found it fascinating and enjoyable.

This book sounds like it might be a little intense for me but it still sounds intriguing, especially the idea of weaving paranormal into a memoir. I don't think I've ever read anything like that. Thank you for the thorough review.

The sample part of the book I read was really intriguing; the author really captured the voice of a young boy very well. There were some very disturbing hints even there, though, so I'm afraid this one is a bit triggering for me.

The book has some paranormal life. In some cases a disturbing one. Its a good book to those who love thriller stories and I recommend it to them.

Going by the sample given here, the book is undoubtedly interesting. From the start, the author starts the book with a note that facilitates a reader not to keep away the book without reading it. He talks being used to living with ghosts but hoping one day it will be the thing of the past.
