I have always wondered whether ghosts exist or not. The book is about John, a boy who experienced paranormal activities in his life. However, the review indicates that the book is more about John’s life as he grew up in a hostile environment. The book review says there is some humor in the story. I wonder what kind it could be. I like the thoughts passing through the young mind and later from other perspectives. Thank you for your review that hints at horror and ghosts. My curiosity is in abundance.

I tend to skip books from the paranormal genre, but the book reviewer changed my mind! Since the book is so well-written and humor has been weaved into the horror, I am going to give it a try.

This book sounds fun. John’s childhood experiences and his encounters with ghost is something I can only dream of. I love how the author was able to convey John's childhood thoughts in an easy way making it fun to read.
Thank you for this great review.

I appreciate your detailed review, but I will not be reading this book. I am definitely not into books about ghosts or paranormal activity. Dealing with hauntings and such a harsh storyline isn't what I want to spend my time on. Thanks for your review.

This seems like a terrific drama with the ghost haunting used to develop important themes in a story set in a place where a certain level of degradation seems normal. Thank you for your great review!

Child trauma is a serious thing. The effects can linger on into adulthood. I feel sorry for ohn who had to overcome the problem of child abuse. The author has shown us clearly from a child's visual point with detailed experiences children who are being abused and molested.

Sounds interesting and unique. I haven't read a book about an adult but having also his child's perspective on things. Thanks for the review!

Although this book sounds intriguing, I don't care for books about the paranormal. I am curious about John's childhood. But, I believe I will pass on this one.Thank you for the nice review!

This book is definitely a must read for a more mature audience as it deals with adult themes. A very unique aspect is that it is written in the point of view of John, who is a child. Also, I find it interesting that John's ghost encounters are not the main part of the story. Congrats on the BOTD!

Paranormal stories are not for me so I'll pass for this book. Good to know that the story revolves around childhood experiences and not just ghosts. Thanks for the review.

I'm interested in this book because of covers themes of molestation and abuse. This is because I believe people should be more enlightened on these topics rather than putting a blind eye to these issues. However, I would recommend that this book be read by an older audience. Congratulations on BOTD!

The title itself draws you in and the plotline actually surprised me. I was expecting something the book to be either like Conjuring or perhaps Casper but child molestation took me off guard. I would love to give this boy who lived with ghosts a chance. Congrats on BOTD.

The amount of horror books I have read are aplenty, but I still think they are not enough, and not many of them can be horrifying but also humorous. I would love to know how this was written, especially since it's written from a boy's perspective. This reminds me of Coraline by Neil Gaiman, which I enjoyed but the writing seems to be more monotonous. I really am intrigued how this is written.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review!
