The author did a wonderful job by vividly explaining the emotions of young boy who faces much sufferings in a tender age.

An emotional coming-of-age memoir that deals with heartbreaking themes does not sound like the kind of book I’m looking for right now.

What an interesting book. However, i'm not sure i could stomach the author's description of child abuse and molestation. Thank you for the review!

Thank you for your review. I thought this looked like an interesting book until I say your notice about the more adult issues. Therefore, I will have to pass on what sounds like an excellent story.

Good to know that this is not really about "ghosts", but something else that a boy experiences in his childhood that us equally horrific. This sounds a little heavy for me, so I think I'm gonna pass. Thanks for your review!

A paranormal story of a five-year-old boy who is haunted by ghosts and the boy sees the ghosts everywhere, but he wants to live in a place without the ghosts. The child's perspective of the ghosts is interesting and funny.

The sample pages were difficult for me to get through as I felt the writing jumped around too much with information overload. Told from a child’s perspective is fine, but it was too much at once for me to take in, so I’m passing on this for now. I also noticed a lot of punctuation errors as well, so that was another distraction. Thanks for your insight on this one.

This book is terrifying already, which I love. The imagery provided by the author from the perspective of the young boy named John is vivid and scary. I look forward to reading this.

The Boy Who Lived with Ghosts sounds like an excellent read! It sounds like a unique juxtaposition of trauma and ghost stories that make the novel stand out in a crowd. I am glad the reviewer commented on the good job the author did on making information well known despite coming from a child's perspective, because that can be an issue when reading a book from a child's point of view.

The review is simple and straightforward, sounds like an interesting book. I love the fact that the author have to tell some of the stories from John's perspective thereby giving the readers a clue of John's thoughts. I look forward to reading this great book.

Ghosts are scary just imagine whispers with no sign, but then a little Boy could just be messing around with no fears. Thank you for this wonderful review.

Interesting! I have been eyeing this book for sometime, but I would never guess it would become the BOTD in which I'm glad it did. This is definitely a book that I was deeply intrigued in. Spirits contact children unlike adults because it's easy to approach them. Thank you for this review!

This sounds quite intriguing, especially as it seems not only is this boy haunted, but he also has to deal with other bad things going on in his life as well. Your review was different in format to the ones I usually read, and I liked how clear and concise it was. Thank you for your honest comments.

The concept reminds me a little bit of The Sixth Sense, though it sounds like this definitely has some unique qualities to it.
