I like that though the book is the first in a series, its major plot points are satisfactorily resolved by the end, though certain aspects still have evolving potential. Some books end at cliffhangers right on the brink of resolving the major plot points. I find it offputting - and 'rebel' by not getting the sequel! I know, they have to create suspense for a sequel, but it's a raw deal when the main plot point is not resolved. Anyway, just saying! Thanks for the awesome review!

Yes, exactly! Certain important things were resolved or at any rate not left too wide open, but there were hints that certain minor characters could do more in future.

I tend to avoid romance books because I find the characters are often underdeveloped, because too much emphasis is put on the romance. This book seems like the supernatural element allows the author to further explore the characters personality and motivations, so I might have to give this one a try! Thanks for your review
