I’m not sure I could enjoy this... the premise of how one moves on after losing a child seems to take a back seat to the romance. You have presented some good ideas for the author to improve on this work. I don’t think I’ll pursue this one.

"If this book was going to court, the role of the prosecuting attorney would be to stand up in front of the judge and jury and provide evidence that this book is unworthy of critical acclaim. The defense attorney, on the other hand, would argue on behalf of this book. As both defense and prosecution, I'll provide the collected evidence, and you, the jury, will render a verdict." I love your start, it's really great! But what pulled me off this read is the reason for her daughter's death isn't explained by the author. This was something I was looking forward to. Thank you for your review!

This piece reminds me of the "Suits" series that I've been watching in previous months. Honestly, if my life would be in a book, it's most probable that my husband will be the likeable Tom and I'd be the not-so-agreeable Sarah. Real life, though, could be as book-like in complexity as could be. The jury hasn't arrived on its verdict for your case, yet I hope all ends well and just. Thank you for your engaging review.

I enjoy romance stories, but I agree with you that it doesn't make much sense that the death of Sarah's daughter is not explored in depth. It seems to be the main reason that's holding her back from getting involved in this new relationship and, I can imagine, losing a child must be harrowing and completely life-altering, so I don't understand why the author seemed to put this part of the main character's life in a secondary position. Exploring this part would enrich the plot and give much more depth to the main character. I like very much your idea of including Olivia's point of view.
The book seemed to have great potential!
Thank you for such an analytical review.

Thank you for that review. Sarah sounds like a real character who is very human. I haven’t read the book but I can’t believe the death of her daughter Olivia isn’t a larger piece of the plot. Great review.
