Children should always be able to count on their parents to comfort and protect them. Parental abuse is the worst form of betrayal. The author’s story is heartbreaking but I’m glad she had the courage to share it with the world. Thank you for a wonderful review.

The only thing I could think of while reading the review was how incredibly sad it sounds. I’m glad it was a book about survival and overcoming the abuse and escape rather than only the horror. I am glad that the reviewer enjoyed it, but I will probably pass on this one. I find I read books more and more as an escape and this would give me nightmares.

The title of the book caught my interest. The power of faith can really do many things that you thought you can't do.

Thank you for the review. There is no doubt that this is a heartbreaking story of survival and struggle against all possibilities, including an abusive father and a mother who never decided to give her daughters a chance. Although I do not usually read this kind of books, I want to congratulate the author for her courage and for giving us the opportunity to know her story.

Your review was extremely compelling and beautifully worded. As someone who is not so particularly interested in non-fiction as fiction, I must say that is it is quite the achievement to convince me to want to read non-fiction literature, but you did just that. Good job.

This book is emotional and inspirational. The author narrates his plight and pain. This book is full of hope. It gives hope to the downtrodden. She eventually finds love and never looks back.

Wow, this memoir sounds heavy. It is amazing that the author was able to overcome so much. Thank you for your review.

Based on how heavy the story topic seems, I will not be reading this book. However I'm glad to see that story is well written and enjoyable, and that it has such a good review.

This book has some very sensitive topics, and I don't think I would enjoy it, but I am glad to see such good reviews!

Memoirs of any kind are not something I typically read, and the subject matter of Aimee's story is so upsetting and heartbreaking that I'd probably have a hard time reading it anyway, so I will most likely pass on this. Still, I am glad the author's voice captivated you, and your review was so compelling that like many others here, I too went and googled the detail of Aimee's case.

Although I appreciate the intent behind this, it's just not my cup of tea. I'll add this one to the maybe pile. I might get around to it one day, but just not today.
