Review of The Winter Foursome
The Winter Foursome by Chad Wannamaker is an erotic book about two couples exploring boundaries over a winter vacation together. Donald and Terry, husband and wife, join their friends, Peter and Kristal, on a quick vacation to go skiing. Donald and Terry are trying to get pregnant, but they don’t feel the same spark of sex or romance as they did before. When they are with their friends, however, a sexual chemistry arises in all of them, and the weekend quickly turns wild.
It doesn’t take long for the book to turn hot and heavy. It’s clear after reading only the first few chapters that this is a book focused mostly on erotic scenes and less on story and character development, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. There’s no plot or character growth aside from Donald and Terry growing more comfortable doing crazier sexual activities.
Some parts of the sexual acts weren’t realistic and were definitely over the top. But this is definitely not a book to pick up and enjoy an actual romantic story between a couple. It’s just a quick, fun, arousing story.
The editing was good, as I only found a few grammatical errors, but it wasn’t distracting.
The Winter Foursome is definitely more for those who are very open, sexual people, who are not prudes and are okay with foursome-style sexual activities, and are okay with open and explicit language detailing sexual activities and body parts.
The book also contains numerous accounts of nonborderline profanity, so those who would be bothered by that should steer clear of this R-rated book.
Ultimately, I give The Winter Foursomefour out of five stars. I deducted a star because some scenes were so unrealistic that it put me out of the story a little bit, but I also understand that some people go for those unrealistic parts.
