I feel your frustrations. I recently reviewed a book that also was an english translation. Outside of that, I don't think this story would appeal to me. It's sounds clique and while I can stand and even appreciate certain cliques and tropes, the ones in romcoms make me frustrated due to their leaps in logic and empty symbolism.

You make a good suggestion that the author would be better off writing the book in their own language and having it translated.

Well done for persevering with this book, not sure I would have been able to , to me it didn't sound like a very interesting book but all the poor sentencing and errors would have made it impossible for me to make it through the first chapter .. Will steer clear thanks for an honest review.
