Loved your review! I, too, enjoy books with a slightly more layered plot line, and yet I'm drawn to reading this book just by the sound of your delight in the history and simple romance. It's great to have a lighter, yet thoroughly enjoyable book ready for the perfect moment.

I agree! Sometimes it's necessary to take a step back from all the drama and enjoy something simple so your palate doesn't get too dark and heavy!
