Kudos to the author for writing a book dealing with a difficult issue and also donating the proceeds. Thanks for the review.

You'll need to read the book to find out!

Based on this review I would definitely check this book out from my library or pick it up if it were on kindle unlimited. I probably wouldn't really go out of my way to buy it because of the lukewarm rating...but I'm not afraid of crying over a book!

I was curious with the title and found the story a good one to read, even if I am not into multiple protagonists. I also find this review a great introduction of the story.

I applaud the Author for writing about a topic that most writers tend to shy from. The review was very compelling and it gave an in-depth insight to what the book is really about. I am definitely curious about the book and would gladly read it to find out the fate of the protagonists. Thanks for the great Review!

Reading about childhood abuse is going to be an emotional journey and when themes such as foster care and adoption and not unexpectedly alcohol and adoption are added,a box of tissues will be a prerequisite to reading. Its grapic viloence is not gor the faint hearted and was difficult to read. It is the personal growth and human interaction and survival techniques that draw you in. At times a bit laboured. A confronting book though on the whole well written- a brave author.

The child abuse is more of an underlying current, rather than the main storyline. The story is not about the characters as children, but they do go back to memories at times.
