The hero (Cyrus) and the heroine (Layla) seem to be the kind people that you don't want to mess with. I am happy that the female lead character is depicted as a strong willed character determined to do whatever it takes to ensure that her family is safe in the face of imminent danger.

The book sounds interesting, although a bit tense for me. I'm not one for the damsel in distress scenario but I love that there are strong females regardless, as well as the author addressing serious issues and the fact that not every Iranian is an extremist terrorist. Thank you for the thoughtful review.

Sounds like a good book. Though marrying a spy is a bit extreme, I thought they didn't do that. Though I suppose even James Bond got married once.

The book unravels a gripping family drama set amid current issues of terrorism and world events. The review is superb.

Thank you for the review, I read the sample too. I'm still on the fence with this book. I would want to read the first in the series before I tackle this one. It deals with some very serious issues, so I would need to be in the mood for a heavy read. Thanks again, and congrats to the author on the great review!
