Nice review of a good love story. Although I'm not a fan of 'straight' love stories but this book - Shattered Perfection by Heather Guimond is definitely out of the box. There are a lot of actual marriages I know that start as a romance and end up as a psycho thriller where a wife gets physically abused in the end. In this book, how the couple reconciles will be avidly awaited.. Will put this in my must reads for the year. :tiphat: :techie-studyingbrown:

I don't usually read this type of book (especially if there are explicit sex scenes, as you mentioned). However, for some reason, I'm intrigued by this story. I want to know what makes Vance change so dramatically, so suddenly. Your review makes me want to read it more, despite the editing errors. Thanks for the great insight on the book!

In my opinion, love stories are good, whether they are of the fairies or of the humans.

What provides an enigma to me is why deep a love affair can suddenly turn into a very deep and bitter hatred.

I'm a soap opera fan so am sure this will grab my heart as I also pick some quotes and love lessons .As they say loving someone is giving your heart to someone risking a heartbreak but trusting the other person will not break it. Lovely review

From the review it feels like a battlefield of emotions, However if the book has a good ending, I suppose it is worth going through the highs and lows. Wonderful review.

Hope everyone enjoys the book. Thanks, Heather, for making it free. I'll definitely read the rest of Mimi's story.

I thinks the beauty and the beast approach is awesome the way it is put in the opposite but the stress should be in the "love always wins"part ....because good books have happy endings right? :tiphat:
