Romance is as old a genre as the human beings involved in it. And if we take a good look at stories dealing with romance, we'd notice that this genre cannot be pure narratives of love, whether depicted in movies or in print. They had to have suspense, betrayal and other negative and dark sides of human behavior to complement the story. Or else, it would be like taking food without the drink. You can choke on it. And there cannot be any excuse, in my opinion, for having a poorly structured dialogue. It's because this isn't a movie where bits and pieces of the screenplay may be appreciated through images on screen whether accompanied by dialogue or not.
