I've read the sample and you are right. The author writes about love beautifully. The prologue was dreamy. I saw two quotable phrases at least.

Sounds like a good read with some issues that could definitely be fixed. I like the historical setting aspect for sure. Thanks for the review!

This book resounds of poetry. Poetry of emotions and furtive glances, almost touches and unfulfilled desires. Although the frequent changes in persons and time are disorienting, it is worth the effort to stay focused and follow the author's spinning of the tale. A very good review also, covers both strong and weak points of this book.

It is a shame that this book lacks character connectivity. I am still going to give it a try and read it.

I need to read The Last Valentine for several reasons. First, I'm Puerto Rican, and it is difficult to find a novel written in English with Puerto Rican characters. Second, it seems Felix Alexander, who is of Puerto Rican and Mexican descent, has a beautiful writing style so I'm ready to be swooned away. Third, I like the spooky and vintage looking cover of the book, particularly the dress.

I'm excited about this romance novel. Good review!

Great review. The introduction is very captivating. The many points of view enables the reader to connect with the various characters deeply. I am more excited for the poetry thought.
