Serena desperately wants to break into the world of interior design. However, the only job she could get in the industry was working as the personal assistant of John, a rich, handsome, and sometimes cranky boss whose last few assistants hadn't lasted more than a month due to his demanding attitude. During a work trip, the two end up having to share a hotel room due to a hurricane, and in a moment of passion, they give in to the mounting feelings developing between them. Will the relationship between Serena and John last past the trip, or was it simply a mistake to be ignored? Find out in Tempted by the Billionaire Boss by GiGi Reine.

One of my favorite parts of this book was the character of Serena. She, despite her attraction to John, was able to see all the potential issues of the relationship, and I appreciate seeing her struggle between her head and her heart. This added an interesting internal conflict for Serena, along with the person-to-person conflict between her and John, as they both came to terms with what had happened during the hurricane.

The only issue I had with the book was the lack of warning for the point-of-view changes. The point-of-view switches between the perspectives of John and Serena. I enjoyed this as it gives more insight into their characters and their respective backstories. However, the chapters were not labeled to indicate which character's viewpoint it was through. It was not difficult to figure it out; however, a simple label for the chapter would have been helpful.

I give this book 4 out of 5 stars. I am taking one star off for the above-mentioned issue. Overall, I enjoyed reading this book and see no reason to take more than one star off. Due to the sexual content, this book is only suitable for adults. If you are looking for a fast-paced romance novel with dynamic characters, then I strongly suggest that you consider checking out Tempted by the Billionaire Boss by GiGi Reine.

I am definitely going to be checking out this book. Character growth is what I strive for. I love the fact that Serena is not naive or avoids the possibilities of issues in the relationship. Great review!

Great review. I'm partial to this genre and the working relationship scenario leads to lots of tension. I like when authors alternate views between the two partners in the relationship but agree that some signal is key ahead of the switch. The point of this genre is not to think and analyse, but just to enjoy.

What was the page number on this one? I am always afraid to read 'romance' fiction because of the page number and filler content.

It's rather short, only about 160 pages long.
