Maid for Summer is a romantic fiction novel written by Stacy Lee. This book tells the story of Hollywood superstar Summer Jennings, her life, and everything in between. Summer is a big star and musician out in LA, but she had very humble beginnings. She grew up in the Anderson Cottage with her grandparents, Al and Birdie. When she was younger, she had trouble talking, and this made music a companion for her. It was also a means of communicating her feelings.

Summer grew up to be a musician who made very good music and was loved by a lot, up until a scandal occurred that forced her to leave her plush apartment in LA and return to the Anderson Cottage, where she helped with housekeeping while trying to keep a low profile. One day she meets River, a PA for a filming company that is currently shooting a film at the cottage. Before long, they became fast friends. Find out what happens to Summer Jennings when you read this book.

There were many things I liked about this book. The author told a compelling story that made me very invested in the characters. During my reading, I became more and more intrigued, hoping the characters would turn out okay. Also, the style of writing adopted by the author is worth commending. The author jumped between different timelines within the book, but this did not confuse me at all. This is because there was a date stamp at the beginning of every chapter. Also, the author wrote the story from the point of view of the different characters, making the reader relate more to what the characters were feeling.

The characters were well developed, and the plot was well-rounded. Also, the editing of the book was well done, as I found no errors. There was nothing to dislike about this book. It was short and easy to read. I also loved how texts between the characters were displayed in the book with emojis.

I therefore rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. The reasons for my rating have been stated above. I recommend this book to young adults and lovers of romance fiction.

I am not a fan of romance novels, but there is more going on in this book. I hope that the other story can eclipse the romance. I'm gonna try it anyway. Thanks for the review.
