What a wonderful and insightful review! I feel I understand the book's premise, the positives and negatives very well. Thank you for writing such a clear review! I'm not sure if it's for me, but I enjoyed reading about it all the same :)

This sounds like exactly my kind of book! I adore love stories set in old ages and I can't get enough humor. I'm adding this to my bookshelf! Thanks for an insightful review with just the right information I need!

Thanks for a fun review. Sounds like a quirky, funny story. And I love how the heroine's hair changes color. That's kind of...uh...hot, lol.

The title immediately caught my attention :) Wonderful review, it sounds like a pleasant read. I'm super picky with romances and historical ones are fun to go through so I'll put this on my list. Thanks!

I enjoyed your review and have read several romances. I think that I prefer medieval times and historical romance because the notion of "old school" in romance is something that I love.

Thanks! @PashaRu

It really is a fun story. The hair color changes were inconsistencies in the book. The author did not intentionally have her hair change. It wasn't like she had mood hair that changed to certain colors when she was feeling randy.

@HalcyonFlower I felt the same way about the title. :D Thank you for the kind words. I hope you enjoy it!

@kathymarie3392 Thank you for your kind words. I like historical romances too. I was obsessed with King Henry VIII and all of his wives for a long time. It's good to branch out. :)

Yes, I understood that. Still, it would be...interesting. Something about variety being spicy, I forget exactly how it goes. :wink2:

@PashaRu That would take it to a whole different genre and level.... Variety is the spice of life?

I just got done reading this book and I gave it a 2/5 stars.

As was mentioned in the review, parts of it were pretty confusing. In addition to that, wrong words were used: revenge instead of avenge; thrown instead of throne; Peace instead of piece. It got progressively worse as the story moved along. It really took away from the reading experience.

But that's just my opinion.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference

@khudecek
Interesting. My copy did not have those errors and was not at all confusing. I wonder if the author has an earlier not as clean edition uploaded. I read a .pdf file. Where did you purchase yours? The author should be told about the errors in the file she uploaded.

I received it as a gift and it came from Amazon. I made mention of the wrong words when I wrote the review so hopefully she will fix them now.

It wasn't a horrible book (I said that, too). I just thought some of the wording was awkward and the wrong word usage was aggravating. The story was good for the most part.
