Thanks! @PashaRuPashaRu wrote:Thanks for a fun review. Sounds like a quirky, funny story. And I love how the heroine's hair changes color. That's kind of...uh...hot, lol.
It really is a fun story. The hair color changes were inconsistencies in the book. The author did not intentionally have her hair change. It wasn't like she had mood hair that changed to certain colors when she was feeling randy.

@HalcyonFlower I felt the same way about the title. Thank you for the kind words. I hope you enjoy it!HalcyonFlower wrote:The title immediately caught my attention Wonderful review, it sounds like a pleasant read. I'm super picky with romances and historical ones are fun to go through so I'll put this on my list. Thanks!

@kathymarie3392 Thank you for your kind words. I like historical romances too. I was obsessed with King Henry VIII and all of his wives for a long time. It's good to branch out.kathymarie3392 wrote:I enjoyed your review and have read several romances. I think that I prefer medieval times and historical romance because the notion of "old school" in romance is something that I love.

Yes, I understood that. Still, it would be...interesting. Something about variety being spicy, I forget exactly how it goes.bluemel4 wrote:It really is a fun story. @PashaRu That would take it to a whole different genre and level.... Variety is the spice of life?PashaRu wrote:Yes, I understood that. Still, it would be...interesting. As was mentioned in the review, parts of it were pretty confusing. In addition to that, wrong words were used: revenge instead of avenge; thrown instead of throne; Peace instead of piece. It got progressively worse as the story moved along. It really took away from the reading experience.
But that's just my opinion.
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Interesting. My copy did not have those errors and was not at all confusing. I wonder if the author has an earlier not as clean edition uploaded. I read a .pdf file. Where did you purchase yours? The author should be told about the errors in the file she uploaded.

It wasn't a horrible book (I said that, too). I just thought some of the wording was awkward and the wrong word usage was aggravating. The story was good for the most part.
