Sounds like one of those quite inaccurate in historical terms, but still fun to read books :D I actually enjoy those quite a lot! When it comes to romance novels, I love the supernatural and historical romance. I also find that I prefer the spn romance to be more engaging, while the historical to be more light and fun. So it seems like a great book for me!

Great review! I am a sucker for a good romantic book and after reading your review, it seems this book fits the description of a good, fun, romatic book that I need to look into reading.

when i first saw the title i thought it was a nonfiction XD reading your review made me want to read the book more...it makes me curious to see how the author really made it a successful romantic comedy in the context of the time period.... if the dialogue was not only funny but true to the setting ;)

@Topcho I cannot speak to the historical accuracy of the novel, but it did have a long time ago feel. I am a huge fan of historical and supernatural romances too! This book was very fun. :D

@dipdrops2003 It is very fun. There are some sad moments that happen in the beginning. There are some very steamy and sexy scenes. I highly recommend it.

@joanofarc2015 I am not sure how accurate it is to the time period, but it did feel long ago and far away. You'll have to read it and let me know. :D

Great review, bluemel4! The title IS intriguing and your review made me want to read this book. Everything I'm looking for in a historical romance! Though I think this might be the case for me too.

Thank you! @thiocyanate Part of the problem may be that I am not as familiar with politics of the 13th century. It feels like the author assumes that the reader has some prior knowledge of the time period.

Sounds like a great book, besides those few distracting things that you mentioned. I enjoy well-crafted, humorous dialogue. I am also interested in Meredith's character development. My feelings about historical fiction change constantly, but this sounds like a book I would enjoy reading. Great review!

Great review Bluemel. The plot doesn't sound that interesting me, but if it can make me laugh than all for it. Sounds like all this book needs is a cover change.

The characters sound interesting and real. Considering everything Lady Meredith went through while Sir Thomas was gone, I think I understand why she wanted an annulment :) Sounds like an interesting book. Great review!
