Thanks for your review. As an Australian I think it’s a shame that there’s no Aussie jargon or colloquialism included, we have some wonderfully strange sayings here! Romance is not a genre I read very much, but the paranormal aspect adds a dimension which makes it more appealing to me.

The character of Melanie is well developed and has interesting aspects to it as a stereotypical teen that grows into a mature woman. The secrets of Jason that are potentially dangerous to the young woman also spice up the book. Thanks for the review.

Melanie’s Evanescent Journey by B. Truly will be the first paranormal romance novel I have ever read. I am intrigued to see just why the book is considered unsuitable for teens as Melanie and Jason are both teenagers. Maybe the fact that they have sex without taking precautions and then suffer the consequences serves as a warning to young readers?
The review and the sample I have read have piqued my curiosity, so I look forward to see how it develops.

Great review. Paranormal romance is not a genre I would normally read. Shame some of the conversations fell a bit flat.

Your review seems to back up my impression from the sample. The conversations between characters felt quite stilted, and the premise was pretty stereotypical, for my tastes. That being said, it's clear that this book has its strengths, and I'm sure it'll find its audience.

I think the cover art is amazing. However, I'm not one for explicit encounters between teenagers even though I enjoy the concept of young love. With the presence of flat characters within the novel, I may have to pass on this one. Thanks for the clear review.

Well, this review was very informative and has actually made me certain that I probably would not really enjoy this book. I have read romance before but this seems more of a slice of life romance with some paranormal mixed in. I will still give the book a chance but I will not be expecting to read too far.

This sounds different than the usual romance story. I'm also curious about the twists that take place and like that the main character grows and develops as she grows. Thanks for your review.

I have once read a different paranormal romance by B.Truly and it was very interesting. From your review, I would also love to know how Melanie will be able to cope up with Jason's secrets.

I enjoyed reading the review but i don't think this type of book is for me. The plot seems too cliche already but still had an interesting idea added to a regular plot. Congratulations Brandy Truly.

This almost reminds me of the Twilight story line, but not the underage sex, etc. I'm not a huge reader of young adult, but have been known to read the genre if the story is good. I do like that it's able to be read as a stand alone. Thanks for the insightful review!

Thanks for your review. I’m not into young adult books so I might pass on this on, though it sounds quite original.
