Thank you for the compliment. @Ramona

The author uses slang and less offensive word choices to convey strong emotions. For example, saying "tough titty" or "Dang" instead of other more aggressive options.

Personally, I do appreciate the less offensive words. I know not everyone feels this way. But I applaud an author who does realize that not everyone wants to read the rough language when it can be converyed in other terms.

The comment made about the novel seeming "refreshing and real" due to the authenticity of the "love" perked my interest to read this novel. Sometimes love stories in books can make us wonder what is wrong with our own love because we expect such unrealistic feeling consistency and actions in a relationship.

I'm not usually into love triangles. Probably because I always bet on the wrong guy :-) but then again I like stories that took place in the past, as in way way past, so I think I'm going to like this book. I'm also kind of curious about the 'southern twang' as I can't imagine how it was put in writing.

Looking forward to this read. I'm leery of unfinished series, but I also realize authors can't just whip'em all out in the same day. That said, I am not a fan of cliff hangers and you mentioned feeling closure so that is definitely more appealing aspect for me. I've seen this one on amazon in my regular browse, and have added it to the list. Thanks for posting.

I'm not inclined to read romantic novels, however I believe this would be a good read. Thank you for the great review.

This review looks exciting. Im drawn to the idea of the dating game. I dont normally read romance but oi think ill give this one ago as its set in 1970's sometimes I feel I enjoy the escape of the twentieth century, modern ways !

This sounds like a very interesting read! I like how the author makes the characters feelings and discussions genuine. I also like how the author showcases a song before each chapter, that is very unique! Congrats on book of the day!

I appreciate your review! I don't generally read romance novels but this sounds interesting. It sounds more compelling than other romance novels filled with petty drama.
