Review of Mon Cheri
Love, friendship, and a good vibe are what we look for in people who are close to us. Having a friend who gives us all the three makes spending time with them feel like heaven because we are constantly happy. The good times are extraordinary, and we do not wish for them to end.
Charlie and Le Femme meet after a long time and agree to journey to Honey Hill together. They travel by road using Le Femme's car. They stop by hotels to spend a night, eat food and have a little fun. They also visit different places such as museums and stores because it's a great way of having fun. Drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes make them happy, and they keep taking them. They soon reach Honey Hill and have to part because Charlie wishes to return home from where they journeyed. The book contains fourteen pages only. It also comprises fourteen chapters only. Each chapter has a subheading that hints at what that chapter entails. The book is narrated from the first-person point of view. The major themes in the book are love, friendship, happiness, travel, and new beginnings.
There are several things I liked about this book. Firstly, it is brief and short. The book only contains fourteen pages, and the message is well written and presented by the author, which makes the book a fast read. I read and analyzed the book within 30 minutes. Secondly, the lessons learned from the book are commendable. Throughout the novel, Charlie and Le Femme have fun and don't let sadness be a part of their adventure. They do a lot of things to be happy. I, therefore, learned that happiness is important and can be found in several places.
Thirdly, I enjoyed the storyline. There are two main characters, and they both go on a journey full of excitement, joy, and fun. The story revolved around these three aspects, and the author ensured that almost every chapter had a fun activity.
I ravaged different pages to discover what k disliked about the book but all in vain. I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because it's brief, exciting, and simple to read. The book seems to have been professionally edited since I encountered no errors. I recommend this book to lovers of short stories since this is a short story with only fourteen pages. Persons who enjoy books about love, friendship, and travel will also find this book interesting since they are the major themes in the book.
