In the book Dreamer by Loretta Kendall, Luna’s best friend is always looking out for her because of her illness. It is an unexplained mystery that doctors do not even understand. It does not start to make sense until an unfortunate catastrophe happens at a wrestling show. Luna’s cousin left her at the show, but luckily some kind strangers helped her out. Later, after one of her blackouts, Luna realizes something weird is happening with the book that she is currently writing. Things only start to make sense with the help of a television star.

I loved how this story shows the importance of keeping the child part of your imagination alive. In the end, it shows why it is so important. Dreamer has inspired me to keep my mind open to different concepts of what others believe to be myths. There are so many things about this world that we do not know about. I liked how throughout the book Luna grows as a person altogether. She discovers what she could never before believe to be true. Luna was a shy girl who did not know how to stand up for herself. She was afraid to do and say what was needed. At the end of the book, she discovered her voice and how to fight for herself and her family.

The author, Kendall, jumped dates a lot in this book. I did not like it when it went from one day and then jumped to ten years later. I wanted to know what happened in those ten years to get to where the characters were. At the beginning of the first two chapters, I felt the story went a bit slow, but it started to pick up soon after. I did not like that the author described every detail of the erotic scene. I like to use my imagination more than just being told what is happening. I value books more that lets you determine what scenes are like.

I would give this book a 3 out of 4. Overall, this is a really good book. I would probably read Dreamer over and over again. There were only three mistakes. If it were not for those three mistakes, I would give this book a higher rating.

This book is for those who enjoy erotic and supernatural books. There is nothing that has to do with religion in this book. I would recommend this book to any adult seeing as there are erotic scenes.
