Wow, that is a lot for one book! I think I would have been confused as well at times! It definitely sounds unique and engaging though. Great review.

I’m glad you recognize the potential for the story to improve, but it a unfortunate that wasn’t caught before publishing, especially the editing errors. Thanks for the honest review

This sounds like an amazingly interesting book. I’m more excited that it draws from Yoruba culture. It’s a pity about the book’s shortcomings. Hopefully, the author can sort those out because this story feels worth a read!

I've outgrown the girl-became-a-boy-so-she-joined-the-warriors-and-fell-in love-with-someone-there trope. I've read Alanna, Leviathan, The Academy, and other books with similar themes. Besides, the errors may bother me. Thank you very much for your honest review!

This book seems like a twist on some parts of Yourba Mythology. Even the names- Oshun, Ife, Orishá, etc. Are Yoruba.

It is interesting to see folktales mixed in with fantasy fiction.

Love the detailed review!

Honestly, it is commendable how you were able to capture the gist of this novel. It sounds confusing to me and it is also a part of series so I would not be reading it. Thanks for a great review though :) keep it up.

Sounds like an amazing book. I'm curious about Oshun's vow and King Tomori's secret weapon. Even the romance? It feels like a lot of stories are told in this single story. I'll add it to my shelf.

It's too bad, the cover page had me sold. It looks well drawn and makes the story seems intriguing. I guess that's not all that counts for a good story. Thanks for the review!

It seems like a really tiring and confusing book while errors seem like a major drawback. I think I will pass on it. Thanks for great and honest insight, you've been really informative!

I like the plot and concept of the book, but I would probably only give it a try after it has gone through another round of editing. Thank you for the detailed review!

I have never come across a story quite like this one before; it's a shame there were so many issues with it. Thank you for writing such an honest review!

Wow. A princess gets transformed to a boy and gets mixed up in a love triangle. The storyline is quite an interesting one, too bad it was not professionally edited. Thanks for your wonderful review.
