The Ghost Between Us: Book One of The Ghosts Around Us series by Deana Evers is about Charley, who is responsible for the care of her 15-year-old sister. Their mother had run away when Charley was 14, and their father is an international attorney who is always out of the country. One day while watching “Paranormal Explorers” on TV starring 27-year-old Jacob Stone, the lead investigator of a paranormal team, they hear the story about when he was Charley’s boyfriend when they were both 13 years old. Jacob got his start in the paranormal when he spent a summer with his grandparents. He met Charley, Eddie, and Lindy, and one night they were telling ghost stories, and Lindy told one about her dance school in Greenlawn. Over time the school had been many things, including an insane sanitarium. The four decide to visit the school on a Sunday night when it is closed. Something scares them, and Charley ends up with a broken ankle and leg. As adults, Charley is an at-home researcher, and Lindy and Eddie are married. Jacob decides to do a show about the old school in Greenlawn and wants his friends to participate to see if they had really encountered any ghosts. What do they discover?

Although this book ends with a cliffhanger because it is the first book in the series, it still has many positive aspects and can be read as a stand-alone book. For example, readers will learn that they can be protected from evil as long they believe in something bigger than themself, and relationships take patience and commitment. Both of these concepts are thought-provoking and can be applied to much more in life than paranormal activities. This book also reveals how the misdiagnosis of mental illnesses can be devastating to a family. Do you think someone who sees ghosts or has other supernatural experiences is crazy? Should they be locked away from society?

There was nothing I disliked about this book. It is action-packed with a fast-paced plot. I read this 112-page book in one sitting because I wanted to see what happened next. The book is well written and has been edited by a professional editor.

I happily give this book 4 out of 4 stars because I only found four minor errors in the entire book. There is no reason to give this book fewer stars because it is an enjoyable and exciting read.

I recommend this book to adults who enjoy romantic stories involving the paranormal, especially ghosts. However, the borderline profanity and sexual content are not appropriate for younger or sensitive readers. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Ghost between is a good book ,which we should never put things in our mind because they may appear real.

paranomal content appeals to me, romance in this particular case doesn't. I'm concerned about what you mention about mental illnesses, the subject is very delicate. Someone who sees ghosts, regardless of whether or not we accept that they exist, must be evaluated by multiple professionals. Their stay in society depends on whether they represent a danger to themselves or to others.
