Re: The Black Dagger Brotherhood Series by JR Ward

Ward is another one of my top 5 authors. I was so glad not to read about any "sparkly"vampires in her books. The characters are very well written and thought out. I was actually thrilled when Lover at Last came out. I loved reading about Blay and Quinn after all the books that tiptoed around them.

I have to agree with many of you, I love this series. I've read them all and really enjoyed J.R. Ward's writing style, characters, and the world she created. The only downside is waiting a full year for the next installment. But, I definitely consider this series a must read.

I read the majority of the series, but my favorite would be 'Lover Awakened'

I enjoyed this series with a unique twist on the traditional vampire theme. Each book in the series provides a detailed background and insight to the individual characters but also ties them in together to make a brotherhood. My only issue with the series was that the books become a little redundant, different character but same outcome, and I found that I didn't want to continue reading because I lost interest and wanted something new.

I put off reading this series for a very long time, why??? I have no idea. Once I started reading them I could not put them down. I was hooked!! Each book brought you closer to a different Brother and I looked forward to finding out more and more about each one. I love how she paired each one up with such a strong woman. Even if they did not seem to fit at first, you learned that they each had something that made them stronger when together. I truly can't wait for the new one to come out.

The series was very good. Although each book can really stand alone, you really should read them in order. I have to admit that Zadist was by far my favorite, but there were many that came in at a close second.

I started the series way back when Beth and Wrath's book first came out and am lucky enough to have the whole series in hardcover. Absolutely love J.R. Ward's style of composition, overall plot movement and story flow between books and of coarse..the love stories between her characters. I can't wait for "The Shadows"..

I have been reading this series from the beginning. It has been a long road of great books that get reread every year just before the new book is released. I have to say my favorite is a tie between Z and John Matthew. Z is just bad*** and John Matthew is all quiet strength once he works out his anger issues. The books have come a long way and hopefully will take us even further in the future. Long live the King!

I really liked John Matthew's story. Wait someone said that Blay and Quinn has a story out there? Okay, where have I been?!

I think my favourite character has to be Zsadist. I really like the series, though I've started reading it only last year.
