Ebook erotica recommendations?

Post by karenmills »

Hi folks, has anyone stumbled across anything exciting in this field? I've just read a bunch of Charlotte Stein books which I heartily recommend, as well as Olivia Fox's 'Untaming Lily Wilde', which rocked... I've read the Crossfire books too. Anything else good out there? NOT overly trashy. Something with decent characters please... Thanks!

There's a reviewer whose recommendations I find interesting named Angie Lynch... she's got lists like top five for $1 or top five funniest. I don't always agree with her - I read the This Man series on her recommendation and it drove me nuts, but she's handy for exposure to a wide variety of interesting options, and also cheap/free ones!

(I'm a new member, otherwise I'd include a link)

I'm curious what's new out there that you may have read and feel the need to recommend! Looking for a new series here!

Interesting question. I have some titles in my TR list, but, as I have not read them yet, I'm not exactly sure if I can suggest them.

Have you tried Elloras Cave books? They are considered to belong in this genre, but it's hard to find non-trashy ones, so I'd be cautious if I were you.

However, there are two authors I strongly recommend, who write erotic romance and are very good at what they're doing. Nora Roberts and Karen Marie Moning. The latter is a master on making a book with sexual scenes into something with actual plot, and not just plain porn. The first is more on the romantic side, but there are scenes in some of her books that are HOT, and she rarely - if ever - , gets vulgar in her descriptions.

Hope this helps :)

Have you read Gabriel's Inferno? It's definitely not trashy, and I really loved the style of the writing and the characters. I read it after the Crossfire books and really enjoyed both of them.

I also liked the Beauty series...there's still a 3rd book estimated to come out next year. The first book is called Beauty from Pain and the second book is called Beauty from Surrender. They are by Georgia Cates. I really enjoyed them and didn't find them trashy.

Lords of Satyr Elizabeth Adler

If you like a bit of supernatural with your hotness, this series is great! A little high priced but after reading it, you can gaze at the cover model's picture and daydream.

Have you read the Neighbor From Hell series by R.L. Matthewson? It's really good; mixed in with some funny scenes.

Or maybe Wallbanger by Alice Clayton if you're looking for something with both humor and hotness?

You should try Rosanna Leo's books. She has 3 series so far out, one about Greek Gods, one about Selkies, and one about bear shifters. And let me tell you, the woman knows how to write some good smut, even with the characters just touching! Plus, she's hilarious!
I read, therefore I am.

The Sleeping Beauty Trilogy by A.N. Roquelaure.

It's not "new" but it is good. Makes you think of the story of Sleeping Beauty and "happily ever after," in a new light.

Hmmm… it’s been quite a while that I read erotica, what with all the porn already on the internet! It’s quite revealing that there are still folks out there interested in this genre.
