It is said that the lack of or having a poor sexual relationship is usually a big blow in marriages. Even though it is not very often listed as the main reason for divorces, it plays a very big relationship in the genesis of the end to many marriages. Stella Knights explores the issue further through Johnny and Savannah's marriage in his novel, Lost and Love: Thailand.
Savannah hates everything about her life. She hates the fact that she is stuck in a job that she does not like. She hates that her marriage to Johnny is increasingly becoming bland. She hates both her professional and non-professional life. Which is why she decides, one day, that enough is enough and seeks to spice up her life by taking a vacation trip to Thailand with her husband. She hopes that once there, the two can find the passion they once had for each other and, thus, save their marriage from impending doom. She hopes this trip can make them reconnect both sexually and emotionally. Fortunately or unfortunately, her plan goes so well that they decide to explore a sexual fantasy they have both had - a threesome. They bring in Zander for a night of passion after which everything becomes hazy for Savannah. She realizes her mistake too late after she has already been drawn in too deep…
I honestly thought I was not going to love this book very much after I had read the first few chapters. This is because I had thought that it was monotonous to only read about a story with a single conflict. However, it turned out to be engrossing and exciting than I had anticipated. It ended up having numerous unforeseen twists and turns. I got lost in the story, the passion, and the anxiety of the outcome. The suspense created by the author was simply amazing. The end was not really an end because now I have to seek out the second book in the Lost and Love series to satisfy my curiosity.
The writing was also very nice and fast-paced. Most of every chapter tied in well with the previous and the next giving the story a nice plot development. It was also very professionally edited as I only managed to come across one grammatical error within the entire novel.
The only thing that was missing in the novel was real character development as the author was mainly concerned with driving the plot forward. Hence, all characters did not undergo any major changes throughout the entire novel. However, this was not a very huge problem for me, and I still feel that this novel (Lost and Love: Thailand) deserves a 4 out of 4 stars rating. I truly enjoyed it and strongly recommend it to lovers of romance stories and erotic novels.
