Lost and Love: Thailand (Book One of the Lost and Love Series) by Stella Knights is the first book in the author's romantic fiction series: Lost and Love. The book revolves around the lives of Savannah, a call center worker at an insurance company, and her husband Johnny, who works in real estate. Savannah and Johnny have their lives figured out. They go to work, come back, watch tv and go to bed. Savannah and Johnny are your typical married couple. They go to work, come back, watch some tv and go to bed, the same routine every single day. While Johnny, being a workaholic, isn't bothered by this, it frustrates Savannah to no end.

Disgruntled with the monotony in their lives, and desperate to get away from Johnny's needy family, Savannah takes a trip to Thailand with her husband, with scandalous ideas put forth by her friend Pam to help spice up their marriage. Prepared to go to any end to make this happen, she tries to turn her husband's secret fantasy into a reality, and everything unravels. What happens next? Does Savannah accomplish what she set out to do? Or does she change the course of their lives forever?

This book was an interesting read. The mundane life led by this married couple is very realistic and will strike a chord with everyone who has been married for a few years. The character of Savannah is very relatable, and although initially, it seemed like she was a little dramatic about every little thing, after a while I started to empathize with her situation. Her friend Pam is a kind-hearted, open-minded and caring woman, the kind of best friend every woman needs in her life. However Zander, the gorgeous German they meet during the trip, seemed very unrealistic and honestly a little childish. His character seems to be based on the typical sweet jock every teenage girl dreams of finding.

What I liked about this book was the author's ability to construct a beautiful scene with her words. She has exquisitely described Thailand and all its wonderful beaches and food. In fact, every time she talked about the food they ate, it made my mouth water! The author's love for travel is evident from her enthusiastic portrayal of Thailand in the story. There are many intimate scenes, that are extremely sensual and toe-curling. The emotional scenes are not over-dramatized or dragging. Even though it was a long book, I hardly noticed it because I was already invested in the lives of the characters.

I didn't really dislike anything about the book although I am a little confused by the title. It seems a little incomplete, which looked weird to me. I also wasn't too impressed by how the character of the husband started off being mildly annoying but towards the end, he becomes unbearable, which seemed a little unrealistic.

The book seemed professionally edited and I found only a couple of errors. Due to the presence of multiple graphic sexual scenarios, the book is inappropriate for children. Fans of the romance genre will enjoy the book. I give it 4 out of 4 stars and I look forward to reading what happens next.
