Lost and Love: Thailand by Stella Knights is the first book of the Lost and Love Series. In this exciting novel, we are being introduced to Savannah, a woman trapped in a loveless marriage with Johnny, that takes her for granted, and never considers her to be a priority. She insists on taking a trip to Thailand, where she is planning on doing anything possible to seduce her husband, and rekindle their relationship. Things take a turn for the better, and it seems like their issues are getting resolved. While exploring their wildest fantasies, they meet Zander, an attractive diving instructor, that is bound to test the strength of their relationship. Even though exploring seemed like a good idea, the couple will soon realize that some fantasies are better left to the imagination.

I loved the way Stella Knights exposed the realities of a failing marriage. The family issues, the constant neglect on the husband’s behalf, and the way his part of the family kept interfering in their marriage are all subjects that are familiar to many couples. The internal struggles of an unhappy wife, constantly feeling not good enough, and doing anything in her strength to fix the marriage, are also very delicate topics, that are extremely well presented by the author.

Lost and Love: Thailand does a great job of describing the perfect vacation atmosphere. The readers accompany the couple in experiencing great, tasty foods, swimming in clear, blue waters, visiting interesting temples, and relaxing by the swimming pool.

I did feel like Savannah was being unreasonable at the beginning of the book. Her constant complaining, her need for extravagant vacations, that are far beyond their means, seemed to be immature and unrealistic. I did respect her husband for having a pragmatic approach to their financial lives: he wanted to hold off any unnecessary expenses until they finished paying off their mortgage. Another thing that bothered me was the way she kept comparing her husband’s body to other men’s physiques. It made her seem extremely shallow. This can be considered a symptom of the lack of attention from her husband. Savannah also came across as extremely gullible, believing every word Zander tells her, and feeling constantly flattered by each compliment. We can assume that a woman trapped in an unhappy marriage can be easily impressed.

I do not believe that when a man cheats on his wife, it is the mistress’s fault. That being said, when Savannah surprises her husband sharing a passionate kiss with another woman, her first instinct is to insult her, physically assault her, and call her a homewrecker. This scene reinforces a very dangerous stereotype: it is always the woman’s fault, and men can do nothing wrong.

This book contains heavily erotic scenes, and it is suited for an adult audience only. Keeping that in mind, I recommend Lost and Love: Thailand to anyone in search of a little adventure, in need of a tropical vacation, or simply stuck in a monotonous life, and looking for a quick escape. I rate this very well-edited book 4 out of 4 stars because I believe it delivers exactly what it promises, and it does a good job at captivating its readers’ complete attention. Stella Knights did a great job at creating the perfect open ending to this story, and the readers are left wondering what Savannah’s next step will be.

This seems like a good book to read. I agree that when a man has an affair, it is not only the other woman's fault. That would indeed be an unfair stereotype. A nice, descriptive review. Makes me want to read the book now.

It is a good book. I am not usually into erotica, and this book has many spicy scenes, but I did enjoy the storyline. I feel like the author really managed to capture the complicated relationship between his protagonists. If you want a relaxed read, go for it!

Lost and Love: Thailand seems to be very interesting and easy-to-read. I will put it on my bookshelf. Great review, corinaelena.
Heart! We will forget him!
You an I, tonight!
You may forget the warmth he gave,
I will forget the light.

When you have done, pray tell me
That I my thoughts may dim;
Haste! lest while you're lagging.
I may remember him!
