In my own perspective, Victor Rose is my author. In fact his ability of mobilizing the three different races, giving them suitable positions in the story. He made it so comprehensive to everyone both the teenagers. The simply language he used gave more rise to a perfect understanding.

I want to one day write like Mahfouz Naguib. I want my work to flow like Tolkien's. I want to be commercially viable like Stephen King and to have soul like Maya Angelou...

I have a hard time narrowing my favorite author down to one.

I love Sarah J Maas because she builds insanely beautiful worlds, and characters. She makes me fall in love with all aspects of her stories.

The other contender for my favorite author is Brandon Sanderson. His Stormlight Archive series is so beautifully done. He takes the time to really work out a character's story. The world that he has created in the series is wholly unique.

My life is better for having read from these two authors.

My favorite author is Robert Kiyosaki. As my own and writes that he is not the best writer, but he perfectly communicates knowledge which each of us can live better.

Like many of you, I don't have one favourite author. There are just too many good books and engaging voices out there to choose just one.
I enjoy a timeless classic but also chicklit, a good crime novel but also a charming children's book.
That said, some of my favourite authors are:
Joseph Heller
Mark Twain
Marian Keyes
Margaret Atwood
Lisa Genova
The Bronte sisters
...

My favorite author is definitely Donna Andrews, the author of the famous Meg Langslow murder mystery series. Her books have a quirky comedic element to them so it doesn't focus on the gory details of the murder. I like the character development of the main character, Meg Langslow, who is a modern Miss. Marple. And the titles of each of the books have a punny bird name like "Murder With Puffins" or "Six Geese A-slaying". I 100% recommend reading her books! Order doesn't matter.

So JOHN GRISHAM is my best author closely followed by Sidney Sheldon, Patricia Cornwell and yes, J.D. Robb (Kind of forgot her name). Maybe because I'm a law student fascinated by his fictional yet legal writings with the joy increasing steadily with every page one flips through.
