Shirley Jackson, no questions asked. I like the forced isolation most of her characters experience and grow through. That and the dark, feminized elements.

I cannot choose just one author, but my top 3 are: Twain, Tolkien, Emerson. Three entirely different writers, which all have touched a place in my soul, so deep, I must pay them homage.

I don't have one author to choose above all others, there's just too many great authors out there. Some of my favorites include:
Patricia Cornwell
Amanda Stevens
Jeffery Bass
Tonya Kappes
Stephen King
John Grisham
Those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

I love Sarah J Maas! I've read all of her books (unless one of them has been published recently) and love them all!

I can not limit myself to just one but for now, I will go with Carol Plum-Ucci.
She is the author of the book I am currently reading, "What Happened to Lani Garver". I am really enjoying how thought through her plot is. The story is so real you could mistaken it for a non-fiction book yet it is not.

I like Garth Nix, Barbara Hambley, Piers Anthony, and Terry Pratchett. Basically anything spooky or silly or both, plus magic.

One of my favourites is John Green. I read one of his books when I was 17 and have since bought every book he's published and read them at least 3/4 times
I've always been a huge fan of the Harry Potter series so J. K. Rowling is definitely up there in my favourites also!

Mine is Ken Follet, he writes historical fiction. His novels are always well researched, thanks to him I know quite a bit about the World Wars.

Who’s your favorite author?

Mine would have to be R.L. Stine because he goes into so much detail and leaves cliff hangers that have you wondering while you read. It is very easy to picture everything he is talking about while you read and understand it as well. My favorite series by him would definitely have to be the Fear Street Novels. Mary McMann is almost a tough tie. Her Wake Trilogy and Visions series are my all time favorite. Those books and authors make their books so in depth that you feel you are the characters doing the actions.
